I had been umming and ahhing about buying Jassy Bear for a while, but I’m so incredibly glad I finally did. This book is absolutely beautiful.
As a mum of a four-year-old and his younger brother who has autism, I’m always looking for gentle, meaningful ways to help them understand each other and the world around them. Jassy Bear has been such a special tool for that. It explains autism in a way that is simple, compassionate, and age-appropriate, while still being incredibly powerful.
The story truly pulls at your heartstrings. It creates understanding, encourages empathy, and opens up conversations that can sometimes feel hard to start. My four-year-old connected with it straight away, and it has helped him see his brother’s differences through a lens of love and acceptance.
If you’re a parent, educator, or family member wanting to nurture kindness and understanding around autism, I cannot recommend this book enough. It’s one we will treasure for a long time. 🤍
My nephew has autism, which is what originally brought me to Jassy Bear. Never did I ever imagine how much this book would touch my heart (and make me cry happy and sad tears).
It is so beautifully written, illustrated and brings the awareness that ASD so desperately needs. This book is so wonderful and should be in every classroom, library and homes. I couldn’t love it more if I tried!
To all the Jassy Bears of the world - you are perfect the way you are and make every life you touch so much brighter. To the parents/carers of ASD children - you are incredible and your strength, courage, guidance, and love will never go unnoticed.
Beautiful book. I love reading it to my son who is non-speaking. Love books like this that are spreading awareness.
Such a beautiful book
Love this book!
